This impressive olive jar is exceptional. Considering it is most probably one hundred and fifty years old, its condition is excellent and decoration and patination simply delightful.
Details
A large Orcio with the handles and rosette boss set high on the shoulder, which gives it an upright stance. There are remains of a glaze on the interior, so it may have been used for storage at some stage in its life. It is in excellent condition for its age, which we would estimate to be around 120 -150 years. There are no potters stamps or names, but this is one of our favorites.
