Welcome to Mud Mountain
Established in 2007 and with a reputation that has gone from strength to strength, Mud Mountain has grown to become one of the leading importers of Italian terracotta vases, olive jars, and urns, offering a specialist range of hand-made Tuscan pots not available from most traditional garden centers and retailers.
With over 25 years of experience dealing with potteries worldwide, we have used this expertise to source a high-quality garden terracotta range to bring to the British market. Having appreciated, in particular, the quality of Italian terracotta and admired the skillful artisan potters at work, our business now exclusively deals with the Italians.
We select our specialist range of large terracotta pots and planters from the artisan potteries of Tuscany. They are all hand made by Master Potters, using traditional methods and skills handed down over many generations. The terracotta pots we stock are made using Galestro clay, a high-quality raw material found only in a small area of Tuscany. A very dense and viscous clay, Galestro is hard to work but terracotta pots made with it are of very high quality and frost resistant to even the harshest climatic conditions.
A Dash of Garden Inspiration
Fantastic selection, service and delivery! I was so happy to find Mud Mountain online. I ordered over a weekend and had a quote by Monday and a delivery to Surrey (including placement) Wednesday. Very happy with the product.

They have a range to meet all needs and because the pots are hand made in Italy you are getting something very special.
Stunning pots and exceptional service makes me want to go back time and time again. Thank you both.

We recently purchased a large Italian Terracotta pot from this company. The whole process was made easy for us from start to finish. Staff were extremely helpful and offered good guidance. Delivery was on time and our pot arrived without hitches of any sort. We have a fabulous product - really pleased with this company and our authentic Tuscan pot. Thanks Mud Mountain!

We have visited all our pottery manufacturers to fully appreciate the production process, the skills needed to produce these beautiful pots, and the complexities of hand-making terracotta pots of this size and quality and have formed close links with them. We now only trade with a select few that offer consistently high-quality products and ensure that we visit those potteries throughout the year to maintain our relationship and keep an eye out for new designs.
And of course, it's also an excuse to combine business with pleasure and indulge in the fabulous pasta and wine of the region!
If you're unsure where to start and want to speak to us about the different options available to you or seek advice, please email or pick up the phone and have a chat!
Due to our products' size and nature and to ensure the quality of service, we are always happy to discuss your enquiry before ordering.
Our classical and contemporary designs sit well in many different garden styles; Mediterranean, terrace, courtyard or English country garden. They are ideally suited to large Olive trees, Bay and Box, and look stunning planted with flowering shrubs, fruit trees, bedding plants, or bulbs.
